Amicta quadrangularis - The Bagworm
From Latin, Amictus (feminine - amicta):
clothed, covered, dressed, surrounded.
The caterpillar larvae construct cases out of silk and environmental materials such as sand, soil, lichen, or plant materials.
Each species makes a case particular to its species. A bagworm begins to build its case as soon as it hatches, and adds material as it grows.
